Bangladeshi Muslims Burn Buddhist Temples in Ramu

THOUSANDS of rioters have torched Buddhist temples and homes in southeastern Bangladesh in a rare attack against the community over a photo posted on Facebook deemed offensive to Islam.
Officials said the mob comprising some 25,000 people set fire today to at least five Buddhist temples and dozens of homes in Ramu town and its adjoining villages, about 350km from Dhaka. The rioters claimed the photo allegedly defaming the Koran was uploaded on Facebook by a Buddhist man from the area, district administrator Joinul Bari said.

KIA’s Atrocious Land-mine Campaign against People

(This post is direct translation of articles from various Burmese language blogs.)

KIA landmine victim Ma Jar-Sai-Ein (age 13).
In the early evening of September 13 a thirteen-years-old Kachin schoolgirl on her way home from the Pharkant State High School was killed when KIA triggered a massive explosion of the series of 30 mines they had earlier planted along the road near the school.

Her name was Jar-Sai-Ein and she was a year-9 student and the mines killing her were the handy work of the Sixth Battalion Second Brigade of Kachin Independence Army well known in Burma as KIA.

Pechora Air-Defence Missile Systems of Burma Army

(This Post is partly from the Myanmar Military on 12 August 2012.)

The modern Pechora 2M Air-Defence Missile Systems now protecting the air space directly above Burma is the commercial version of Soviet S-125 SAM (Surface-to-air-missile) Systems initially introduced by the now-defunct Soviet Union in 1964.

The S-125 missile systems were first deployed around Moscow, augmenting the S-25 and S-75 sites already ringing the city, as well as in other parts of the USSR.

Since Russia replaced the old S-125 missiles guarding Soviet air space with more sophisticated SA-10 and SA-12 systems the old S-125 missiles were being upgraded with new radar guidance systems and exported to foreign countries aligned with Russia’s strategic interest.

Zar Ni: The Traitor on Islamists’ Payroll? (Part 3)

Dr. Maung Zarni.
My question is why is Dr. Zarni, a self-proclaimed religious Buddhist from Mandalay the former royal capital of imperial Burma, writing these vitriolic essays suddenly attacking his own race, religion, and culture?

To answer that question we have to find out who exactly is financing Zarni’ three years time (2011-2013) at LSE as a Visiting Fellow, a lucrative post (worth almost half a million bucks US?) for a self-proclaimed Stateless Burmese.

Zar Ni: The Traitor on Islamists’ Payroll? (Part 2)

Dr. Maung Zarni.
After making his notorious name by causing West’s business and investment exodus from Burma that goat-testicles (Seit-La-zeed) Dr. Zarni had  sort of about-turn in 2,004. After his March 2004 secret trip to Rangoon where he met MIS General Khin Nyunt and his gang of MIS thugs he suddenly declared that his policy now was “Strategic Engagement” with the Burma military Junta.
He then renounced his 14 years long political asylum in the United States and returned to Burma with a great hope that his handler Khin Nyunt would eventually become the top dog in Burma. Instead Khin Nyunt and the whole MIS gang were purged by Senior General Than Shwe in October 2004 and Zarni became the tree monkey without a branch to hang on.

Zar Ni: The Traitor on Islamists’ Payroll? (Part 1)

Dr. Maung Zarni.

Zarni or Dr. Zarni as he prefers to be addressed used to be a prominent Burmese activist who’d done enormous damage to the struggling Burmese economy by forcing Pepsi out of Burma in 1997 and thus triggering the horrible exodus of most Western investment from Burma the following years.

Details are in following excerpts from my earlier post “Aung Moe and Amy: Sanctions’ Collateral Damage” the truly sad story of a Karen-Burmese boy and a pretty Anglo-Burmese girl whose young lives were tragically cut short  by the US-led West’s economic and financial sanctions against Burma.

French Charlie Hebdo Runs Mohammed Cartoons

(This post is direct from THE INQUISITR on 19 September 2012.)

In a move that is certain to draw anger from the Muslim community, French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has printed a set of cartoons featuring the Prophet Muhammad including at least one depicting the prophet naked.

The cover of Charlie Hebdo (seen above) shows a Muslim in a wheelchair being pushed by an Orthodox Jew under the title Intouchables 2, referring to an award-winning French film about a impoverished black man who helps an aristocratic quadriplegic. Another cartoon on the back page of the weekly magazine shows a naked Mohammed exposing his backside to a film director.

According to HuffPo, Charlie Hebdo’s Paris offices were fire bombed last November after it published similar mocking caricatures of Mohammed.

Daw Suu in US Urges End to Sanctions!

(This post is direct from the New York Times on 19 September 2012.)

Daw Suu meets Hilary Clinton in Washington D.C.
WASHINGTON — Myanmar’s opposition leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, called for the lifting of American sanctions against her country on Tuesday, beginning an emotional visit to the United States that punctuated the remarkable shift in relations with Myanmar over the past year.

Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, who until recently remained wary of removing the sanctions that have long isolated her country, said they had served their purpose politically, and she urged the United States to engage broadly with the country’s leaders to help build a new democracy.

More Fake Rohingyas Caught again in Chittagong?

(First part of this post is from the Daily Star Bangladesh on 18 September 2012.)

112 fake-Rohingyas caught in Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Police in the wee hours of yesterday detained 112 people from Banshkhali upazila in Chittagong while they were boarding an engine boat in a bid to travel to Malaysia illegally.
Nur Hossain Mamun, a sub-inspector of Banshkhali Police Station, said that traffickers assembled the detainees at Chhanua Khal (canal) in the upazila, giving them the assurance of providing jobs in the southeast Asian country.
Law enforcers failed to nab any of the traffickers but detained the boatman Monjur Islam Monu for his alleged involvement in the trafficking. Monu said that one Imrul hired the boat for Tk 8,000 to go to Kutubdia and he had no knowledge about taking these people to Malaysia.

KIA Blew Up UWSA’s Jade Mine in Pharkant?

(Translation of articles from the MEG & KNG published in August & September 2012.)

Massive explosion at Wai-Aung-Kaba Mine in Pharkant.
Wai Aung Kaba was one of the biggest jade mines operating in Pharkant area the Jade Land of Kachin State in Northern Burma. It was a heavily mechanized operation producing tons and tons of high quality green jades every month.

On the front the company was owned and operated by a shadowy group of Wa and Kokant Shans but everyone in the industry knew the fact that UWSA (United Wa State Army) was the real owner of the company.

With their heavyweight financial and military muscles the UWSA has made a lucrative deal with the KIA (Kachin Independence Army) and extracting the valuable stones of jade from the Pharkant area for many decades now.

Muslim Protests turn Violent in Sydney!

Violence erupted in central Sydney as hundreds of Muslims protest against a controversial film about the Prophet Mohammed. It is the latest in a series of demonstrations that have killed at least six people so far.
The wave of protests spread to Sydney's CBD yesterday afternoon, beginning outside the United States Consulate and spreading through the city's streets to Hyde Park. The ABC understands the protest was sparked by a mass text message saying: "We must defend the honour of our prophet, we must act now."

Australia Sending Boat People to Nauru Tent-Camps

A plane carrying dozens of Sri Lankan men arrived on Nauru this morning as the airlift to transport asylum seekers from Christmas Island began. Earlier, the Nauruan government said it was expecting between 40 and 50 asylum seekers to be transferred from Christmas Island.
It is understood the asylum seekers are Sri Lankans and that they are all unaccompanied males. The group will be the first to be dealt with under the Federal Government's new offshore processing legislation.
The Immigration Department says the temporary tent camp built by the Australian Army on Nauru is now ready to house its first occupants. Initially it will be able to house 150 asylum seekers, who will sleep five to a tent in the all-male camp.

9-11 Massacre, Islamic Attitude, and Jewish Prayers!

I have never met or even heard of a Muslim who said the 9-11 attack was a bastardly-bad-shit assault on the innocent civilians. For me 9-11 was a plain old massacre of thousands of innocent civilians, period.

Instead of using traditional weapons like guns or swords the Islamic terrorists sent by now-truly-dead-bastard Osama Bin Laden used modern jet planes laden with tons and tons of flammable jet-fuel and hundreds of more innocent peoples.

But All the Muslims I met since then sympathetically (and truly disgusting for me) said the Americans have brought it upon themselves. Including the famous Aboriginal-Australian boxer Anthony Mundine who was just a recent Muslim convert.

North Arakan (1944-1945) by Robert Mole

(Excerpts from the Chapter 11 “North Arakan and the Refounding of the Old Town 1944-1945” of Robert Mole’s book titled “The Temple Bells are Calling” a personal record of the last years of British rule in Burma, 1944-1948.)

We travelled by road from Palasbari over the Khasi Hills, through the Assam capital of Shillong, and down again into the heat of the plains to Sylhet, where we boarded the train for Chittagong. We arrived the next day and spent the night in an army rest camp.

There was an office of the Civil Affairs supplies branch in Chittagong, which provided a truck to take us on to Bawli Bazaar, the headquarters of the Military Administration in North Arakanand some one hundred miles distant. We arrived in the late afternoon of the 30th April (1944).

The area which was at that time under British administration was a small portion of the extreme north of the Akyab District (official British title for the Arakan), consisting of little more than the two narrow and parallel valleys of the Pruma and Kalapanzin Rivers.

The Civil Affairs organization in North Arakan provided both territorial and formation CAOs (Civil Affairs Officers); there were no fewer than four divisions (British Indian Army) operating in the area, each with a CAO attached to it. Bawli Bazaar was a small village on the Pruma, which in peace time had been of absolutely no consequence.

Coup Looming as Constitutional Court Crisis Deepens!

(Direct translation of news articles from the Eleven Media Group and Myanmah Ahlin.)

Commander-in-Chief VSG Min Aung Hlaing.
“If there arises a state of emergency that could cause disintegration of the Union, disintegration of national solidarity and loss of sovereign power or attempts therefore by wrongful forcible means such as insurgency or violence, the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services has the right to take over and exercise State sovereign power in accord with the provisions of this Constitution.” – Section 40C of 2008 Burma’s Constitution

There has been a serious dispute going on for quite a few months between the Burma’s Federal Parliament (Pyidaungsu-Hluttaw) and the Constitutional Tribunal since the Tribunal has determined that the parliamentary committees are not at the federal levels.

NATO used Fake Massacre Photos to attack Serbia?

(This post is direct from the Global Research & Veterans Today on 11 August 2012.)

Fabricated photo of so-called Rogovo Massacre (1999).
Germany joined the war against Yugoslavia under the pretense of fabricated facts. Sensational confession of German policeman Henning Hentz who served in the OSCE in Kosovo in the 90s confirmed that.

The reason here is that photographs taken by Hentz in late January 1999 were used by then German Defence Minister Rudolf Scharping to justify the immediate interference of NATO in the Kosovo conflict. He presented the photographs of the militants killed in Rugovo as photos of innocent Albanian victims.

What did really happen in Kosovo in late January of 1999, several months before NATO launched its operation against Yugoslavia?
